Where It All Began
The first chapter of J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc. was chartered in the Department of Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where over 70% of criminal justice majors were women. Founded to support and amplify those students, J.E.W.E.L.S. has since grown into a national network of chapters across campuses and disciplines, welcoming members from all majors with a commitment to social justice.
