About Dr. Larrisha McGill-Youngblood
Dr. Larrisha McGill-Youngblood is the director of the Executive Master of Public Administration program at North Carolina Central University. In the Executive MPA track, Dr. McGill-Youngblood directs and manages the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the program, including recruitment, admissions, and curriculum management. Dr. McGill-Youngblood also serves as the advisor for students enrolled in the Executive MPA track and teaches several courses across the curriculum. Dr. McGill-Youngblood’s research focuses on black women’s ascension into leadership roles in both the public and private sectors and in higher education. Dr. McGill-Youngblood holds a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.
In 2021, Dr. McGill-Youngblood received a College Faculty Award for Advising from the College of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities. Dr. McGill-Youngblood also serves as a faculty liaison for the Office of E-Learning and has received national certifications from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and Quality Matters. Dr. McGill-Youngblood also serves as a faculty senator for the Department of Public Administration.
